Responsibilities


  • Lead developer talent in building portal applications in support of our company strategy

  • Manage your team of software engineers in a matrixed led scrum organization

  • Build and maintain relationships with product owners and business leaders

  • Mentor and coach software engineers to develop and grow careers

  • Lead Agile development efforts using modern SDLC methodologies

  • Resolve technical debt and minimize the creation of new technical debt

  • Partner with architecture and security leaders to align to standards

  • Scale communication of technical concepts to executive team and technical partners

  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and manage engineering team to achieve deliverables

  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

                   





    • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in people management (hiring, mentoring, and managing staff)

    • Experience working in or leading a front-end Agile development team is preferred

    • Previous experience working in Agile scrum teams is beneficial

    • Experience with multi-tier application architecture and microservices

    • Prior experience working with or leading development of secure portals using MFA, identity management, Okta, Active Directory preferred.

    • Experience with pipeline based SDLC CI/CD automation preferred

    • Experience building UIs in React preferred

    • Previous experience using GraphQL API preferred

    • Experience working with GitLab, or similar DevOps platform preferred

    • Previous experience with GuideWire Insurance Platform preferred

    • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is preferred

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related IT field or equivalent experience required
