  • Overview

    Western National is looking for a Commercial Lines Audit Associate.  This exciting opportunity will be great for anyone who is looking to gain more experience in the underwriting world while working closely with the team to help approve and process Audits. This position will be based out of our Edina office and will work closely with the Underwriting team.


    • Review premium audits to ensure proper assignment of classifications and exposure estimates.
    • Ensure adequate information is provided for processing.
    • Foster positive and professional relationships with staff, policyholders, agency partners, and vendors.
    • Identify and recommend changes to processes that improve service to internal and external customers.
    • Determine whether information collected and reported by auditors is acceptable.
    • Decide which audits to forward to underwriting for review and which to process or forward for processing.
    • Determine whether data is within defined parameters.


    • Commercial Lines insurance work experience.
    • Solid understanding of commercial lines rating methodology, products and coverage.
    • Proven ability to work effectively with others.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
    • Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment and software packages including Microsoft Office, ImageRight and PointIN.
