    Western National is seeking a Salesforce Technical Lead who is looking for an opportunity to guide an exceptional Salesforce team through planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of changes and new features. This person will play an important role as a Product Owner of the Salesforce team while working closely with other Product Owners across the organization to help shape the overall Salesforce strategic vision. This position will be responsible for the architecture, design, development and ongoing support of Salesforce.


    The ideal candidate has at least 5+ years of Development experience with a strong focus in Salesforce development experience, and a demonstrated ability to lead a motivated and engaging team.

    • Lead the development team, overseeing the design, implementation and support of the software development projects, ensuring that project goals and business objectives are met.
    • Own relationship with SFDC Account Executives to coordinate technical ideation sessions with Salesforce SME’s; as well as coordinate contract negotiations. 
    • Works with business stakeholders and IT managers to plan and design technical roadmap for the overall Salesforce environment.
    • Maintains technical expertise and knowledge of the Salesforce platform by engaging in user groups and staying on top of the latest trends in SFDC.
    • Provide leadership and technical expertise for large complex projects; directing activities to ensure goals are met through team work assignments.
    • Select, coach, develop and retain staff to achieve company, departmental and individual goals; provide regular performance feedback and conduct annual review meetings.
    • Identify ways to utilize SFDC to improve business productivity and make recommendations to support the organization’s appetite to grow the Salesforce environment over the entire organization.
    • Provide timely updates on current and potential production issues which affect projects or production service level objectives; escalates issues when necessary.
    • Decision making guided by general policies and objectives within which frequent decisions are required.
    • Assists in formulating recommendations on difficult problems.
    • Deals with complex ideas that must be broken down into manageable pieces.
    • Leads evolution of company level software development best practices, standards, and policies. 


    • 5+ years in developing, testing and supporting Apex, Visualforce, SOQL required.
    • 5+ years of web application development experience, including solid experience with Java, as well as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS required.
    • Experience leading a development team.
    • Experience providing guidance and creation of technical roadmaps and overall Salesforce organizational strategies.
    • Some experience with jQuery and/or other JavaScript toolkits required.
    • Previous experience in web service/api implementations including: XML, SOAP, and REST required.
    • Experience required in software change control practices using any of the following: Git and Jenkins.
    • Salesforce Developer certification preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent training/education/ experience required.
