    Umialik Insurance Company, a member of the Western National Insurance Group, is seeking an energetic individual to fill the position of Underwriting Support Specialist II in Anchorage, AK. This position is responsible to provide administrative and clerical support to underwriters and agencies by rating and entering transactions into established systems for commercial lines.

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Work within standard operating procedures and established practices to provide timely customer service to Underwriters and agencies by rating new and renewal business, premium audits, endorsements, cancellations and reinstatements
    • Keep accurate and current records in designated systems that are accessible to others
    • Seeks relevant information and answers to key questions from defines sources.
    • Identifies and/or analyzes straightforward problems, recommend solutions
    • Makes decisions for routine activities
    • Contacts other internal departments and team members

    Qualifications

     

     

    Job Requirements and Qualification

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to follow process while paying attention to details
    • Time management/ability to meet deadlines
    • Intermediate Word/Excel Skills
