    Western National is seeking a Product Owner/Manager to join our growing Product & Data Management team. This role will identify opportunities to enhance personal and commercial property & casualty products. This exciting opportunity will work closely with multiple areas of the company to research, select and implement new and enhanced products


    The ideal candidate will have property and casualty Insurance experience and a strong track record of working with a variety of product lines.


    • Identifies and recommends new and enhanced products to address underperforming segments and create new opportunities to ensure current company objectives and ongoing strategy are met.
    • Researches competitor, industry and other trends to identify opportunities to enhance products; brings product ideas to leadership team for evaluation and prioritization.
    • Leads / Drives product changes through the development process from research to implementation; coordinates the efforts of direct reports and others in the process; works collaboratively with other departments.
    • Manages outstanding project lists, works with others to establish priority for initiatives, ensures resources are working on most impactful product and system enhancements.
    • Establishes a pipeline for product development, rollout and evaluation that promotes operational efficiency and speed to market.
    • Collaborates with Sales and Marketing on training and communication plans for product launch.
    • Monitors impact of implemented initiatives and reports results.
    • Applies knowledge and creativity to help solve problems of multifaceted scope and complexity.
    • Uses analytical skills to identify and assess patterns from partial and/or conflicting data, finding solutions.
    • Develops plans that support company strategy, gains consensus of manager and business partners and modifies plans as needed based on results.
    • Evaluates priorities and assesses needs of multiple business areas to build recommendations for senior management.
    • Contacts other departments and/or external organizations or parties frequently.
    • Communication includes persuasion and negotiation, involving creation and delivery of varying messages and information types.
    • Builds and maintains strong internal and industry relationships.


    • 5+ years of hands on experience in Product focused role within P&C Insurance.
    • In-depth understanding of personal and commercial lines products and coverage.
    • Able to multitask and solve complex problems.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with agents and other departments.
    • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to effectively and independently manage complex workload while exhibiting sound judgment.
    • Bachelor degree or equivalent insurance related experience.
    • CPCU, AU, or CIC certification or progress towards additional Insurance Certifications.
