    Western National is currently seeking a Regional Agency Manager to help us continue our growth throughout the Northwest with a focus on Southern Washington and Oregon. This exciting opportunity will allow someone with 5+ years of Insurance Underwriting or Sales a chance to flourish with a company whose tag line is “The Relationship Company”.

     

    We are looking for someone with excellent Relationship making skills and a dedication to serving and collaborating with our agents and our Underwriting staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Works with all members of the Agency Sales Team to develop annual sales/production plans for each independent agency within the Regional Agency Manager’s territory and other territories as directed.
    • Works closely with all company departments to develop a high level of teamwork and cooperation to provide excellent service to agents and policyholders.
    • Manages agency production and claims experience by preparing and analyzing various reports, recommending and implementing appropriate corrective action plans, reviewing production and profitability results with agency personnel and following up to assure sales objectives are achieved.
    • Develops and implements appropriate rehabilitation/termination programs when necessary.
    • Promotes and provides training on company products, systems and new sales techniques to agency personnel via phone calls, email, written correspondence and personal visits.
    • Acts as liaison between agency and company to communicate changes and develop opportunities for new and renewal sales.
    • Researches and compiles information on competitor programs and collaborates with Home Office on product and pricing recommendations.
    • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including agency results by quarter, annual projections, marketing reports, etc.
    • Contributes to companywide initiatives relative to marketing, business plan items and other miscellaneous projects.
    • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 5 years of property/casualty insurance company sales and marketing experience.
    • CIC or CPCU designation preferred or a record of successful completion of insurance related continuing education courses is preferred.
    • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
    • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work independently through strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Four-year degree in business/marketing or equivalent training/education experience.
    • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. at an intermediate level.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Willing and able to travel 75%+ (including overnight travel) for extended periods of time as necessary to fulfill job accountabilities.
    • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
    • Ability to travel long periods in all types of weather conditions and modes of transportation.
