    Western National is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing IT team and work closely with our Commercial Lines products. 


    The Quality Assurance Analyst’s role will need to have strong understanding of the Commercial Lines/Policy world while focusing on the execution of system/integration and user-acceptance test plans and assist with ongoing system support. 


    This is a great opportunity for individuals with previous Commercial Lines experience to use that knowledge to transition in to an IT focused QA tester position with a stable company.


    • Write test scripts for user stories.
    • Perform thorough regression testing.
    • Execute test cases, analyze test results, issues or failures and document results.
    • Communicate testing status and reports issues with documentation.
    • Work closely with business analyst and developers to identify, script and execute test cases for rates, forms and other functional specifications.
    • Actively contribute to product knowledge through intensive self-study and training.
    • Work within an emerging Agile/ Scrum environment.
    • Effectively interact with business users on production support emails.


    • 3-5 years of Quality Assurance and Testing experience.
    • Ability to provide inputs to test plan, accurately identify, document and develop complete test scripts.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Extensive experience in writing test plans, test scripts, defect reports.
    • Must be able to learn, understand and work both independently and with a team.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, experience in lieu of degree acceptable.
    • Experience with test management and defect management tools is preferred.
    • Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies is preferred.
    • Experience in automated testing methods, procedures or tools is a plus.
    • Insurance domain or testing Policy Admin system is good to have.
    • Regulatory, Compliance or Rating knowledge preferred.
