Overview

Western National is seeking an ETL QA Tester to join us for an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Data team. The ETL QA Tester’s role is to help ensure that data loaded in the data warehouse meets the informational requirements of the organization. 

 

This role will work closely with the Data Management Team to create and execute test cases, and accurately log test results and issues according to the standards. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop testing programs that address database impacts, regression testing, usability of data in the insurance industry.
  • Analyze business and functional requirements.
  • Responsible for data warehousing and ETL testing.
  • Develop, document and maintain data quality goals and standards.
  • Document and coordinate test plan, test scenarios, test scripts.
  • Estimate quality assurance efforts.
  • Identify, analyze and document problems with functionality, output files, or tables. Monitor defect resolution efforts and track progress.

Qualifications

  • 2 + years of related experience performing data validation.
  • Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: 1) SDLC; 2) Quality Assurance methodologies; 3) Data Warehousing and ETL testing; 4) Database SQL experience.
  • Experience working in Insurance or Financial industry is preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
